Can someone assist with the following. Some of my burned copies tend to have picture jitter and tend to freeze at various points in the movie. I am using Princo Brand DVD-R and DVD - RW discs. It appears the freeze ups are occuring with the DVD-R Discs only. Is this a disc compatibility problem with my Standalone DVD Player as both type of copied movies work perfectly in my PC.

It is highly possible it is the brand all though I personaly have not tested on those myself. The DVD player may be having trouble reading the DVD and doing retries. If I am right then DVD players have a buffer like a skip free walkman CD player and when it has trouble reading the DVD it has to retry over and over again. If it doesn't read it before the buffer runs out then the picture freezes untill it does read a peice of the DVD and so on. I have read there are varity packs available of DVDs. It might be worth tring another brand. This is just a observation.

Thanks
