Well just downloaded the new release DVDXCopy Xpress this morning. Uninstalled the old version and installed the new 2.5.0. When i started the program it immediately started up in compatibility mode and never opened. But i could see the program running in the task manager. So i ended the task. Right clicked on the Xpress icon on the desktop and unchecked the compatibility mode and the other two boxes that were checked. Forgot what they were. Anyhow after doing that Xpress started right up without the 1337 error. YEAHHHHHHH!!!! Now i have not tried making a backup copy yet but at least i made it past that stupid error message. Anyhow just thought some of you might interested in this. I am sure most of you already have figured this out. But for those who have not hope this helps.

so ? when is DXC gonna post the fix for this bug? It's fixed in express 2.5 what about DXC?

I'm not sure why it automatically sets the compatibility mode on some systems.. I have seen it here a few times, but it seems there is no rhyme or reason to when it happens..

The 1337 Error Fix was added into the DXC version that is included with the "Gold" version of the software, and will also be in the next stand-alone version of DXC.

We will be starting the QA testing on the Stand-Alone version in the next few days, so it may be about a week or so before it’s ready, but it depends on how well testing goes. There will be no Beta for this version, and all testing will be dome in-house.

1337 problem fixed for me in Express 2.5. Still waiting for DXC fix, I'm still using DXC 1.41.

Anyone still receiving the 1337 Error in DXC, please post and let me know.

We have a patch now, and want to give it a "real world" run to make sure that it fixes the 1337 error on a customer's system as it did on our test system.

I will initially be sending the patch to one person to try, and if it goes smoothly, it will be available for everyone.

OK DXC error fixed. How bout the same problem in the latest version of express? 2.51 and 2.52 both have the 1337 error. Will this same patch fix those problems?
