Hi gang,

Does anyone know the difference between the Meritline and Ritek double sided blanks. Are they the same or is the Ritek better?

Thank Guys

I haven't used the MERITLINE disks but I have the RITEK which I bought from MERITLINE. Worked well on my SONY DRU-500A. Use XPRESS to back up movies that fit on one disk easily ( under 180 minutes ) and then use DVDXCOPY to put the extras on the back side.

I have used the meritline double sided blanks. They worked fine for me, with one exception. On one of the blanks there was a blemish on the recording surface. I didn't catch it until I burned the movie and it started hanging up. Aside from that one problem they seem to be working just fine. i am using a Toshiba SDR 5002.

Thanks for the info guys, Since their is almost no difference in the price (and they are back in stock) I am going to order the Ritek. I already got my dvd hub labels. So I don't have to go the marker route.

Just got my 9.4 GB Ritek's and my pioneer A05 only recognizes them as 1x :(

I am running the latest firmware for the drive also. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

John
