I'm still using 1.4.1 (144 successful burns to date). Last night I was backing up The Recruit. 2 discs..went through the process perfectly...using the newest Nero external burner (as I have since day 1..i.e. using Nero external burner).

When it came to the playback process (on one of my two Pioneer changers)..disc one fine..hit the Next button on my remote...then..on the 2nd disc it played the 1st 60 or so seconds of the BEGINNING of the movie (!), then continued normally on with with the movie at the appropriate point it should have.

Is this a problem with the Chapter Split selection process? I've never seen anything like this. Should I 'arbitrarily' select another chapter point? Choose start 2nd disc with no menu, etc. Suggestions?

I believe this is a known issue and disscussed in either the DXC 1.5 or 1.52 thread. I have had the problem on a few movies. Now I change the split point, or a least change it then preview it then change it back and I have not had a new problem. You may want to check one of the other threads for more info.

Out of curiosity, was The Recruit released early in other parts of the world on DVD? It is not scheduled for release in North America until May 27th.

I had that happen with the dvd The Mummy.
Changing split points did help.

That sounds like one of the weird problems that we see every now and then.

We think it has to do with the dual layer DVDs.

The developers are aware of the problem and are looking into a fix for it.

philnort, I just started having the same problems as well. I'm using version 1.41 with Nero external and have had no problems up until now. I backed up the ring and the recruit and it played the first 15 seconds of of the movie on the second disc. The ring gave me the main menu option on disc two before it played. Can you tell me specifically what you did to correct this problem? If you could spell it out for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
