I must concur with Glass. I backed it up with DXCX 2.0, DXCX 2.5, and DXC 1.5.2. with no problems. On my non-progressive scan I can see the difference, and the difference is huge on the progressive scan.
I kept a DXCX copy soley for the younger children, but my older boys will only watch the DXC copy because of the lower picture quality. DXCX should really only be used on movies that are no longer than 2 hours, 15 minutes. Longer than that and picture quality becomes an issue.
When DXCX hangs and says it can't read the title that usuallly means one of two things. First your disc is scratched and/or dirty. Second, the copy protection is harder for DXCX to deal with than DXC because of the different encoding/compression process.
If you've got a clean, scratch-free dsic, then try ripping it with your burner instead of your DVD-ROM. Since your burner is slower it has better error handling capabilities.
If that doesn't work I am not sure what to do.
