Do you have any firewall or A/V software running, if so try temporarily disabling them.

Then try this.

Paste the PM link in you browser, but delete everything thing after afterdawn.com
Click on the link for forums
Click on Login ( logout first if needed )
After you see the message that you are logged in, paste in the full URL in your browser for the PM message.

Still doesn't work. I have WinXP and am not running any firewalls I know of, at least haven't installed any specific ones. Not running any other programs in the background. Would sure like to get DVDPRO's message!

Sorry that you cannot seem to access the messages I sent you. Do you have some form of popup blocker installed? or Guard Dog? if so, turn it off and retry the suggestions from the Moderator. If this doesn't work, I will find a work around. Maybe they (321) needs to reset your password or just get you a new one if thats possible. Ask the Moderator, I am sure your not this 1st person this has happened to.

I turned off my Pop-up blocker, but to no avail! Keep trying. I almost forgot what we were discussing.

Backing up Band of Brothers successfully of course. Sorry your having such difficulty. Try entering your login name either in lowercase or uppercase and recheck your password. Or, you can try to fakeout the system and use a dual identity..on the otherhand, check with the moderator before you do that. Is there another message board you use other than this one? Perhaps that might help.

Reseting your password, or creating a new account shouldn't make a difference. Something on your end is blocking the cookies that Afterdawn uses to handle the login.

The only other thing I can suggest is to try deleting your browser cache.

Otherwise I think dvdpro's suggestion would be best, pick another forum & exchange your personal email addresses there.

I can log in and send these messages to you. Is there something different about logging into private messages? Deleting my cache didn't help.

This forum is hosted by Afterdawn, which I believe simply uses cookies. Is your browser set to block cookies ?.

AS a temporary fix, we can setup a time where you can post your email address & then I will forward it to DVDPRO. Then I will edit your post to remove the email address.

I still don't understand why I can log in and leave posts but can't get private messages. I've talked with my ISP and have removed any blocks on their browser, but still no luck.

Yes I deleted Jcoles message & forwarded his info in a PM to DVDPRO.

Logging in to the DXC forum and logging in to Afterdawn to get your PM's are two seperate procedures. As to why you have a problem I'm baffled.

Since you're having problems with PM's I'll send you my email address so if you need help from a MOD you can just email me.
